Materials & Process Engineer

We are seeking talented individuals to work in our growing, fast paced environment.  As an M&P Engineer, you will be responsible for providing material and processing support for both established and new programs, acquisition of new business and production operations.  The successful candidate may also have the following duties and responsibilities: 

1.     Serve in the capacity of project lead to administer technical and process  elements of an assigned project.

2.     Determine applicable methods, materials and equipment needed to implement identified engineering changes.

3.     Create and revise Matrix based material specifications.

4.     Design and oversee fabrication of requisite tooling, fixtures and test equipment needed to support new programs.  Generate 2D drawings and 3D models in support of new tool designs.

5.     Design and conduct production assessments to determine needed performance improvements.

6.     Participate as a member of the Material Review Board (MRB) in determining corrective action necessary to correct quality discrepancies.

7.     Initiate creation of new hardware designs and perform fundamental analysis of said designs to insure compliance to customer, Matrix and regulatory requirements.  Generate 2D drawings and 3D models in support of new hardware designs.

8.     Generate flat pattern layouts for new designs and coordinate pattern cutting requirements with production operations.

 

Applicants applying for this position must meet the following requirements:

1.     Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline.

2.     4-6 years of related work experience.

3.     Experience in a composite manufacturing environment.

4.     Knowledge and experience with resin transfer molding (RTM).

5.     Computer skills in MS Office, MS Project, and an engineering design software such as AutoCad, SolidWorks, or Catia
