Matrix Soars with F22
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics awards Matrix Composites production contracts for critical carbon fiber composite structures on the F22 Raptor program. The award includes production of various airframe, fuselage, and vertical fin components over the next three to four years utilizing Matrix's state-of-the-art composite molding technologies.
   
Composites Cut Meridian's Weight
The Piper Aircraft Corporation integrated Wheel and Dorsal Fairings, Seat Components, and Air Ducting fabricated by Matrix Composites into its Meridian aircraft. In an effort to reduce weight, the utilization of Matrix materials and processes were coupled with creative composites design to save an estimated 26 lbs. per aircraft.
