Matrix Protects in Space As a primary supplier to the Space Shuttle program, Matrix produces autoclaved EPDM rubber covers for thermal protection of the struts holding the SRB to the external tank. The covers protect the attachment hardware and pyrotechnic fasteners during the first 6 minutes of flight. .     Mast-Mounted Radome utilizing RTM Matrix resin transfer molds components for the Apache Longbow helicopter program for Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control division.   These components have been produced by Matrix since 1996.
