PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

The vision is for Matrix Composites is to be the leading supplier of highly engineered composite structures by serving a diverse range of customers and offering each of them an optimized combination of cost, schedule, and quality. Through this level of performance, Matrix can create sustainable sources of differentiation and competitive advantage needed to assure on-going growth and profitability.

Quality Assurance
Matrix utilizes a systematic approach to controlling program quality. The technical aspects of the program are controlled through the use of detailed manufacturing instructions, material specifications, process specifications, documented test procedures, and inspection plans. The Company's quality assurance program has been approved by numerous prime aerospace customers, and is in the process of certifying to ISO 9001/AS 9100 requirements.  An intranet-based quality information system provides facility-wide support for all quality data, management reporting, and access.

Tougher than a Typhoon

As the world's only supplier of structural artificial foliage for out-door applications, Matrix has supported four significant programs for theme parks in Florida, California, and China. The latest programs in China required the trans-oceanic shipment with logistical and installation support in the remote mountain town of Nong Ping. Three of the four trees built by Matrix have endured direct exposure to typhoon wind speeds in excess of 135mph.

HydroSail Sails Matrix

HydroSail, Inc. launches innovative sailing hydrofoil with critical structures built by Matrix Composites. The unique craft utilizes underwater "wings" that
lift the boat's hulls out of the water eliminating wave making drag. When "flying", the boat will achieve speeds in excess of 40 mph. Due to the extreme load conditions, uni-directional M30J carbon fiber prepreg was utilized to achieve required laminate properties.
