Matrix Composites provides its customers with a unique solutions-oriented approach to attacking structural design and manufacturing challenges.  With a heritage deeply rooted in materials and process engineering, our customer’s toughest manufacturing problems are met with innovative "out of the box" solutions.

Matrix has excelled in the field of precision RTM and conventional composites. Our robust manufacturing methods are ideal for composites and integrated structures requiring multiple finished surfaces, low void content, and high fiber volume. Utilizing precision machined tools and high-pressure  processing systems, we produce composite components with a high degree of repeatability and process control.

Dry fiber preforming is critical to complex composite structures. Matrix has developed and currently supports a variety of preforming and fiber tackification techniques. These dry fiber preforms have been used with a wide range of high performance resins including epoxy, cyanate ester, cyanate siloxane, and BMI.

As a subcontractor to Boeing Aerospace, Inc., Matrix Composites was responsible for the fabrication of the Aluminum Honeycomb Sandwich Floor Panel system used for the SPACEHAB exploration module as part of the payload of the Columbia Space Shuttle STS 107 Mission.

Advanced Gun System (AGS) Radome
The U.S. military has developed an advanced artillery system which utilizes composite nosecones as radomes.  Matrix was tasked with the development, design, finite element analysis, tooling and processing of this advanced composite component.
