Matrix Composites maintains an ISO 9001:2000/AS9100-compliant Quality Management System, focused on satisfying the customer. The Quality Management System is divided into several sections, each one containing procedures and processes necessary in maintaining the quality of our products and services.
Management Responsibility
Top management at Matrix Composites is committed to the development, implementation and success of the Quality Management System and strives to continually improve its effectiveness. This commitment is demonstrated by:
- communicating to all Matrix Composites employees the importance of meeting customer as well as statutory and regulatory requirements
- establishing quality policy and objectives
- conducting management reviews
Resource Management
Management determines and provides resources needed to ensure customer satisfaction and effectively implement, maintain, and continually improve the Quality Management System.
Product Realization
Matrix Composites plans and develops processes necessary for product realization, ensuring these processes are consistent with the requirements of the Quality Management System. This includes:

- Product requirements
- Process requirements
- Documentation and records
- Inspection and test activities (verification, validation, monitoring)
- Acceptance criteria
- Required resources, including those necessary to support operation and maintenance of the product
This planning activity is documented in processing plans prepared for each project or in a Quality Program Plan developed for each program.
Measurement, Analysis, and Improvement
Matrix Composites has developed and employs various methods for the monitoring, measurement, analysis and improvement of processes in order to demonstrate product conformity and ensure continued effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
Matrix has embraced a company-wide philosophy of continual improvement, with the quality policy and quality objectives driving our improvement efforts. All employees are empowered with the authority and tools for identifying areas for improvement by analyzing both past performance and customer feedback. Causes of nonconformities are investigated and appropriate actions taken to ensure that they never recur.
